# Om Cloth Mills recovery and new-site readiness audit

This audit reviews the full recovery conversation and the live output package. It separates measured evidence from reconstruction judgment.

## Executive verdict

The evidence package is ready to start a new, honest, high-quality reconstruction.

It is not ready to claim a complete pixel-perfect restoration of the old website. The missing proof is the original WordPress database/export, `wp-content/uploads`, Elementor templates, theme/plugin files, or hosting backup.

## Confirmed collected evidence

- 9 successful `omclothmills.com` homepage HTML captures, collapsed into 3 semantic homepage states.
- 2 successful `ocmfabtex.com` homepage bodies: 2022 legacy catalog and 2024 WordPress catalog.
- 46 distinct Wayback timestamp+URL capture records across both hosts and infrastructure variants; 44 non-empty replay bodies are preserved.
- 16 deduplicated modern product paths across the OCM and Om WordPress states.
- 61 category-route references, 103 modern route references, and 8 encrypted legacy category routes.
- 2,519 deduplicated historical HTML references and 179 media references.
- WordPress/Astra/Elementor/WooCommerce fingerprints, exact versions, Elementor page `4387`, kit `2887`, detected plugins, and hero video reference.
- A 20-page catalogue PDF with extracted text, page index, product photography, rates, dimensions, category names, and About Us/contact material.
- 20 rendered catalogue page images, 5 generated archive screenshots, 4 downloaded external demo icons, and 1 downloaded YouTube thumbnail.
- Logged-out cPanel, webmail, autodiscover, webdisk, mail, cpcontacts, and cpcalendars archive surfaces. No credentials were collected.

## Fresh external-archive checks

The 2026-08-04 follow-up checks did not expand the recovery boundary:

- A fresh multi-host Wayback query set matched the tracked 46-row / 24-URL archive package after overlap deduplication. It produced no new successful unique route, HTML body or media binary.
- Arquivo.pt `versionHistory` searches for `omclothmills.com` and `ocmfabtex.com` returned an estimated result count of zero; the corresponding Arquivo.pt CDX-style URL queries were empty.
- Selected Common Crawl indexes from 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025 and 2026 returned zero pages for `omclothmills.com/*`. This is corroboration for the negative result, not a claim that every public crawler has perfect coverage.
- At audit time, the root and `www` variants of both domains did not resolve through DNS. No current-origin body was therefore added to the reconstruction.

No route, body, media binary or current-business fact was promoted from these negative checks.

## What can be built now

1. A polished new storefront with the recovered Om/OCM information architecture.
2. Historical homepage states and product-card sections using the verified titles, categories, and prices.
3. A searchable product catalog containing the 16 verified modern paths, with provenance fields hidden from customers but retained internally.
4. Category navigation based on the 61 recovered references and the 2022 legacy taxonomy.
5. About/brand storytelling based on the catalogue PDF, marked as catalogue-era source material.
6. A catalogue download/viewer using the 20-page PDF and rendered pages.
7. A high-quality visual system inspired by the captured structure and catalogue—not falsely presented as the original CSS/media restoration.

## What must remain placeholders or pending

- Product photography and image galleries.
- Original OCM logo, favicon, and 2022 slider images.
- Exact individual product descriptions, SKUs, stock, variations, and WooCommerce data.
- Original About Us, category, product, feed, sitemap, REST, and utility page bodies.
- Original Elementor templates, theme/plugin assets, CSS, JS, and responsive behavior.
- Current legal name, GST/address/contact claims, payment configuration, shipping policy, and ownership continuity.

## Safe launch boundary

The correct next phase is an evidence-based reconstruction with explicit image/content placeholders and owner review. It may be built locally or on a staging domain now.

It should not be called the exact restored website, and it should not accept live orders, publish unverified business claims, or use invented product images until the owner supplies the missing source material and approves the final commercial data.

## Highest-value owner recovery request

Request one archive bundle containing:

- WordPress database/export or WooCommerce product CSV.
- `wp-content/uploads/` including original logo and product folders.
- Elementor templates and kit export.
- Theme/plugin ZIPs or the former cPanel backup.
- Current approved business name, address, contact details, prices, stock, payment, shipping, privacy, and returns information.

That bundle would move the work from an evidence-based reconstruction to a genuinely high-fidelity restoration.
